The Tax Compliance Bureau, within the Michigan Department of Treasury is recruiting to fill multiple Field Auditor Manager positions. These positions offer a Flexible/Hybrid work schedule. The office location will be in one of our Sterling Heights, Lansing, or Grand Rapids, Michigan office locations and determined at time of hire*. *
This position is a first-line supervisor in a complex work area and directs the work of several professional staff auditors in a complex, tax audit environment. The position will participate in audits where necessary and requires a thorough knowledge of tax law, tax auditing methods, techniques, and procedures, including very large audits consisting of large Unitary Business Groups. An understanding of supervisory duties, responsibilities, and practices is important. In performing the duties, one is expected to maintain an environment conducive to continuous quality improvement.
