　　Job Summary

　　Offer expert medical care to adults and children. Evaluate, treat, andhelp prevent illnesses and injuries that occur regularly in the generalpopulation. Refer patients to specialists when needed for further diagnosis ortreatment. Family Medicine physicians work at various clinics and locationsacross Denver Health.

　　Essential Functions:

　　Admit, evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation to patientsof all ages with acute and chronic illnesses, including major andcomplicated, and perform procedures. (65%)Provide preventative and therapeutic care for patients of all ages. Thisincludes admitting patients, providing preventative care, acute care,prenatal care, injury care, management of chronic illnesses, andperforming procedures. (30%)May provide guidance to staff in providing care for patients in ambulatory orinpatient setting. (5%)

　　Doctorate Degree Graduate of an accredited medical school Required

　　Work Experience:

　　No previous experience required.

　　Licenses:

　　MD-Physician - State Medical Board Required andBLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart AssociationRequired and

　　Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

　　Has adequate knowledge and skill of all privileged procedures as outlined inthe Denver Health and Hospital Authority Department of Family MedicineClinical Privileges documentation.Computer skills required.
