JOB REQUIREMENTS: This position will be working at our clinic located inSomerset, Wisconsin. The Advanced Practice Clinician (Nurse Practitioneror Physician Assistant) provides health care services in the clinicsetting to department-specific patients. This may include the provisionof primary and preventive healthcare services as well as care for acuteillness and injury. The NP/PA administers patient care and practicesprescriptive authority in accordance with Minnesota State Law and thestandards set by the Board of Directors of Stillwater Medical Group. TheNP/PA will work closely with all physicians in the Department in orderto ensure continuity of care and will be assigned a physician mentor whowill be available to the NP/PA for consultation on clinical and patientcare issues. The NP/PA routinely interacts with patients and customersof the Stillwater Medical Group and will demonstrate a commitment toquality patient care and service and will support the short and longterm mission, goals and objectives of the Stillwater Medical Group. TheNP/PA may be required to participate and share duties such as weekendhours and call responsibility as well as other duties as assigned.Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills,and/or abilities. Previous experience working in a Family Medicinesetting as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is required.Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner program and completion ofMasters of Science Degree in Nursing - OR - Graduate of AMA accreditedphysician assistant program. Current Minnesota license as a RegisteredNurse and recognition as an Advanced Practice Nurse by the Minnesota andWisconsin State Boards of Nursing - OR Current license as a PhysicianAssistant by the Minnesota and Wisconsin Boards of Medical PracticeCertification as a Specialized Nurse Practitioner by the NationalCertification Board of the specialization - OR - Certified by theNational Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants Current DEALicense. Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
