Basic Job Functions

　　Assist with coordination of propagation schedules and maintenance of plantings in the Edible Academy.

　　Additionally, this position supports, through actions and conduct, NYBG’s Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility initiatives and actively helps to build and maintain an inclusive organizational culture throughout the institution.

　　Specific duties and responsibilities

　　Assist Garden Coordinators with coordination and implementation of propagation schedules, garden maintenance, and garden stewardship activities.

　　Assist Garden Coordinators as a point of contact with service learning partners and volunteer contributors.

　　Assist Garden Coordinators with documentation and record keeping associated with garden projects.

　　Maintain organized workspaces and assist with maintenance and stewardship of garden tools and supplies.

　　Qualifications

　　Applicant must have a demonstrated knowledge of outdoor horticultural practices.

　　Applicant must be articulate, dependable, and comfortable working with a variety of staff and volunteers.

　　Valid Driver’s License required.

　　Payrate: $22.75 - $25.75 Per hour
