The University of Chicago\'s Department of Radiology is searching forfull-time faculty members at any rank with expertise and interest inemergency/trauma imaging. Appointees will have clinical responsibilitiesthat spans all organ systems and modalities including X-ray, CT,ultrasound, and MRI. We especially welcome applicants with emergencyradiology training or equivalent experience.
As full-time faculty members, the appointees will contribute to patientcare, medical education, and scholarship, joining a vibrant anddistinguished community of faculty colleagues and learners at UChicagoMedicine, the Biological Sciences Division, the Pritzker School ofMedicine, and the University of Chicago and its affiliates. Other dutieswill include training and supervision of medical students, residents,and fellows. There are numerous opportunities for collaborationavailable within the University and with community partners. Academicrank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits)are dependent upon qualifications.
The University of Chicago Medical Center is designated as a both a Level1 Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center and operates a nationally recognizedburn unit. The Department of Radiology includes more than 80 full-timefaculty members, clinical associates, and postdoctoral researchers. Inaddition to teaching medical students, residents and fellows, ourfaculty conduct cutting-edge translational and clinical research. Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have amedical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medicallicensure in the State of Illinois, and 3) be Board-certified orBoard-eligible in Radiology.
