Overview:

　　Installs, inspects and maintains all wood structures the rides and facilities in the park, ensuring efficient and safe operation at all times.

　　Responsibilities:

　　Constructs, installs (places, positions, measures, cuts, constructs, inspects) replaces, repairs, and maintains woodenstructures according to Kings Island standards.

　　Performs daily pre-operational inspections of wooden roller coaster structures per Kings Island standards and completesrequired documentation.

　　Performs preventative maintenance (planned interval inspections) of rides and other wooden installations.

　　Performs preventative maintenance on carpentry equipment to include lubrication, blade sharpening, etc.

　　Installs wood or metal track components as needed.

　　Refers to policy and procedures manuals, maintenance manuals, technical manuals and diagrams, blueprints,

　　schematics, computer manuals, ride manuals, etc.

　　Ensures that Maintenance Department and Park policies and procedures are implemented and followed.

　　Ability to properly use safety equipment / PPE (i.e. harnesses and lanyards, safety glasses, etc.).

　　Sets up and operates carpenter / wood working equipment safely.

　　Uses a variety of supplies and tools which may include computer and clerical supplies, mechanic's tools, carpentry tools, plumbing tools, welding equipment, heavy rigging, other hand and power tools, cleaning supplies, etc.

　　Ability to anticipate, prepare, and plan ahead.

　　Ability to work with other people.

　　Prepares and / or processes numerous maintenance records, charts, logs, etc.

　　Notifies supervisors of any malfunctions or special situations that needs his / her attention.

　　Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including

　　initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.

　　Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.

　　Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.

　　Meets Cedar Fair's attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair's attendance policies.

　　Adheres to Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.

　　Other duties may be assigned.

　　Qualifications:

　　Ability to provide own hand tools and Steel Toed Safety Shoes are required.

　　Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.

　　Ability to understand English at a level sufficient to receive and perform basic job assignments and instructions.

　　Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.

　　Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.

　　Valid Driver's License
