Overview:
This position is responsible supervising an operating team which ensures safe and efficient operations to facilitate the receipt, handling, storage and loading of on-spec Jet Fuel. The Facilities & Tank Farm Supervisor will also oversee the safe and secure operation of the building facility and site including managing maintenance programs and provide our customers and stakeholders “Best-in-Class” service.
Main accountabilities include:
Provide leadership and training - actively developing the skills and capabilities of the Maintenance/Tank Farm Operators.
Perform or assist team with operational duties.
Oversee the YHZ facility, projects, and ongoing maintenance.
Work with team and contractors to maintain a safe, secure, and professional environment.
Make required daily, weekly, and monthly petroleum product log entries of fuel transactions, quality control, and maintenance.
Responsible for preventative maintenance of equipment at fuel storage facilities/systems.
Perform routine and periodic inspections in compliance with company, customer, government, and industry standards.
Transfer products and monitor storage tanks, pipelines, and related equipment to ensure that they are in good working order to prevent spills, releases, overfills and product contamination.
Conduct all work in a safe fashion by adhering to all company, customer, industry, local, provincial, and federal safe work policies/procedures.
To comply with all Regulations as well as local Airport Authorities.
Safeguard the health, safety, security and welfare of staff, customers and other visitors as required in full compliance with the Company’s Health & Safety Policy.
To process, in a professional and confident way, any questions, queries or grievances.
Ensure investigations take place into any incident/accident, non-conformity, or service delivery failure, with resulting corrective actions being established and maintained.
Ensure tasks are performed in accordance with Company and Airline specific procedures and policies.
Perform daily, weekly and monthly tasks as required and report as required.
Required to attend the mandatory training imposed by the Company and Airlines as per job role.
Ensure no Company property abuse occurs.
Maintains harmony among workers and consults with the Management and HR in resolving employee issues - ensuring the Tank Farm follows a consistent Human Resources process, with the relevant company policies being adhered to.
Closely manage attendance and implement improvement plans when necessary.
Any other reasonable duties as requested by any direct or indirect report.

Work collaboratively with ITP Supervisors, GSE Supervisor and cover off other areas for supervision as necessary which may include travel within the region.
Qualifications and Experience:
Proven leadership skills and experience, demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop employees.
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and legally able to work in Canada.
Must have valid Driver’s license and hold a DA.
Well organized with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy, able to work on their own initiative to specific deadlines, can recognise and deal with challenges promptly and efficiently.
Extensive experience in fueling operations and good understanding of the Operational departments.
Ability to drive and deliver improvement plans and the relevant follow-up processes.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with employees, management, customers, and third-party contractors and stakeholders.
Must be flexible to adapt to changing demands/circumstances/weather conditions – and available to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
Must be able to lift up to 70lbs when required.
Must be able to obtain and hold all required security clearances.
Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
