Job Description: Maintenance Technician IPosition Overview:A Maintenance Technician I is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs of equipment, facilities, and machinery within an organization. They are also responsible for troubleshooting technical problems and identifying and implementing solutions in a timely manner.Key Responsibilities:Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, facilities, and machineryRepair equipment, facilities, and machinery as neededTroubleshoot technical problems and identify solutionsOrder and maintain inventory of supplies as neededFollow all safety procedures and protocolsUpdate maintenance logs and documentationCommunicate effectively with supervisors and other team membersWillingness to work flexible hours and on-call as neededQualifications:High school diploma or equivalentTechnical training or certification related to maintenance or repair preferredBasic computer skills preferredAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and schematicsStrong problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work well independently as well as part of a teamWillingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and equipmentPhysical ability to lift heavy machinery or equipment if neededEssential Functions* Operates and maintains lathe, milling machines, bandsaw and other machine shop equipment.Regularly inspects company equipment, buildings, and property; supports maintenance of property including but not limited to offices, production areas, public areas, and equipment.* Ensures work orders are completed in a timely manner and according to all specifications.* Assists with meeting/event space set-up and teardown as needed.* Supports fire and safety inspections and assists with corrections as needed.* Performs other related duties as assigned by management.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
