Core HoursMonday - Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pmPurpose and ScopeUnder general supervision, provide overall facility maintenance support forall Tolmar Facilities. This position is responsible for assisting withmonitoring and maintaining the facilities and utility systems for laboratoryand manufacturing client groups and generating detailed reports summarizinginspection and testing results.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesResponsible for completion of HEPA filter certifications at all Tolmarfacilities.Complete all necessary reports associated with work tasks and vendoractivities.Perform basic maintenance operations on facility/utility, and HVACequipment (filter change-out, Log Readings, etc.)Assist Senior Technicians in performing repairs and preventative maintenanceactivities on equipment and or facilities.Perform basic troubleshooting on Plant and Clean Utility Systems.Provide maintenance support for engineering projects.Enter all data into the work order system in a timely manner.Establish and maintain records that conform to FDA, GMP, and SOP standards.Assist in the development and revision of SOPs.Perform various housekeeping duties (work areas, equipment, mechanical room).Process purchase requisitions and order Preventative Maintenance parts andaccessories as required.Maintain cGMP Training as required.Perform basic facility maintenance and repairs such as plumbing, lighting,and painting.Responsible for assisting with the spare parts inventory for assignedequipment.Participates in required annual hazardous waste training. Hazardous wasteinvolvement may include but is not limited to the handling of universal wastesuch as spent fluorescent tubes, spent filters, batteries, and used oil.Respond to spills per SOP-00669 Chemical Spill Response.Perform other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesAcceptable driving record and valid Colorado Drivers License required.Skill in computer usage to include Word, Excel and some programming.Ability to diagnose and repair technical and facility equipment.Ability to operate hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner.Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.High mechanical aptitude: ability to analyze the mechanics of new projectsfor the most efficient outcome.Good communication skillsGood mechanical aptitude.Willing to work flexible work schedule to meet the needs of the department.Ability to work well with employees and outside contractors.Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work meticulously to ensureaccurate testing and reporting.Core ValuesThe Facilities & Utilities Specialist is expected to operate within theframework of Tolmar's Core Values:Consistently operate with the highest standards of ethics and compliance.Take ownership of your actions, success and setbacks.Respect each other and understand that honest collaboration is at the heart ofour company success.Go the extra mile to make things happen.Be committed to all we do and the patients we serve.Embrace change with enthusiasm.Strive to learn about and understand the needs of customers and patients andtake action with great speed and efficiency no matter the task.Education & ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED required.Minimum of 1 year experience assisting in the certification of HEPA filters.Minimum of 4 years' combination of education, training and/or experiencein one of the following: Facilities, Utilities, Equipment, HVACeducation or certification, Maintenance Operations or Construction.Experience working with one or more of the following areas; HVAC,Purified/DI Water, steam systems, hot water systems, Clean Utilities(clean steam, Water for Injection, etc.) preferred.Working ConditionsManufacturing and warehouse environment.Work environment will include office, outdoors, and mechanical rooms.Requirements may include working e enings, weekends and some holidays asrequired including being "on-call" as needed.Must be able to stand for long periods of time, squat, kneel and lift aminimum of 50lbs.Compensation and BenefitsPay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hourBenefits summary:Tolmar compensation programs are focused on equitable, fair pay practicesincluding market-based base pay and a strong benefits package.
