Fabricator (Experienced)

　　This position will perform fabrication of parts for Aeronautical Accessories manufacturing.

　　JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

　　The responsibilities of this position are the following:

　　Perform fabrication in all areas of department as needed with minimal supervision

　　Ensure proper part identification and/or record S/N for plastics and windows manufactured

　　Perform 1st piece inspection and detect/resolve errors

　　Operate various machines in fabrication department when required, to include vacuum machine and ovens

　　Beyond the scope of normal assembly (installing rivets and assembling small components), this position may assist with the fabrication of High Visibility Doors, testing Rescue Hoist, assembling Emergency Float Kits, and other extensive / technical assembly operations

　　Provide guidance and technical assistance to other team members as required

　　Interpret, create, and maintain process sheets as required

　　Troubleshoot and solve complex problems as needed

　　Operate forklift as required

　　Other duties as assigned

　　Qualifications

　　MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

　　Education Requirements:

　　High School or GEDPosition Requirements:

　　6 years of experience related to job dutiesSkills / Certifications:

　　Ability to perform fabrication duties (i.e. sawing, sanding, trimming, routing, cleaning and bonding) with minimal supervision

　　Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings and work instructions

　　Fully working knowledge and in-depth experience with measuring equipment and hand tools related to job duties

　　Ability to detect and resolve errors with little/no supervision

　　Ability to operate forklift safely

　　PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

　　Forklift operation experience may be a plusWORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

　　Ability to wear all required PPE specific to job duties (may include respiratory equipment)

　　Ability to operate basic hand tools and departmental equipment safely and efficiently in order to perform assigned job duties

　　Ability to stand and sit stationary for several hours at a time

　　Ability to lift up to 25 lbs on a regular basis

　　Ability to work in environment with exposure to various chemicals, dust and odors, and various machine heat cycles
