MOVE Staffing is looking to hire for a great Fabrication Manager position!The job of a Fabrication Manager is to monitor production output, supervise staff, and ensure thatproducts meet customer specifications and quality expectations. Responsibilities include managing andincreasing the efficiency of operations and scheduling production.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS• Support manufacturing engineers with problem-solving of automated equipment issues• Ensure continuous morale and team building• Weekly scheduling of engineering support with production and maintenance• Manages progress from design through installation• Interface with engineers to meet the project requirements• Supervises/handles the installation to ensure compliance with contract specifications• Manages the production at customer locations ensuring project quality, creative intent, specificconformance and schedule accuracy through installation• Develop capital and departmental budgets• Develop new fabrication/operational processes.OTHER DUTIES• May prepare preliminary estimates for planning purposes and detailed itemized estimates based onfinal plans and specifications• May be responsible for the preparation and distribution of proposals• Performs all other duties as requiredQUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING• Minimum of 5 years experience in a sheet metal fabrication shop preferred• Minimum of 3 years managing capital equipment manufacturing preferred• Some college level courses preferred, but not requiredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESPROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS• Offer highest level of innovation and problem solving skills to influence overall efficiency,avoidance of lawsuits, improvements in productivity, outcomes, etc.VERBAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS• Use verbal skills to trasfer information to large groups and/or influence othersWRITTEN COMMUNICATION SKILLS• Review and approve documentation, reports, and records as completedMATH SKILLS• Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, ratios, budgetary responsibility, andforecasting/projections.COMPUTER SKILLS• Internet/e-mail• Presentation Software• Spreadsheet Software• Word Processing SoftwareTOOLS AND EQUIPMENT• General Office EquipmentMENTAL DEMANDS typically required• Respond to unpredictability• High-level record keeping• High pressure for results• Independent judgment and discretion• Organize and prioritize• Manage multiple projects/tasks• Respond to angry/upset individuals• Read, comprehend and follow instructions/work orders• Relate to othersPHYSICAL DEMANDS (typically required to perform the essential functions of the job)• CONSTANTLY INCURRED (more than 75% time on job)- Ability to sit- Ability to stand and walk continuously- Ability to communicate orally- Ability to hear conversation
