About EXTENDED SCHOOL YEAR PROGRAM (Summer 2024) - Direction Provider/Medicaid-Speech Language Services

　　Orientation (New Staff Only): July 8 - 9, 2024 / Orientation (All Staff): July 8, 2024

　　Program Dates: July 10, 2024 - August 20, 2024

　　Provide direction to teachers of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped who are servicing Medicaid eligible students.

　　TYPICAL DUTIES:

　　Verify service recommended on Medicaid eligible student’s IEP.

　　Be available as a resource and support to the Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped.

　　Conduct on-site visits per Medicaid eligible student during the school year.

　　Review progress documentation quarterly.

　　Maintain documentation of the Direction Program.

　　Submit to districts a statement attesting to the provision of direction for each Medicaid eligible student.

　　Perform such other professional duties as may be assigned by the Special Education Supervisor.

　　Job Qualifications

　　NYS certification and License in Speech Language Pathology required. ASHA Certification preferred.
