　　Position Summary

　　Xylem is looking for an Expert Field Service technician to service our customers in the Houston, TX area.

　　What your day will look like as a Field Service Technician

　　The Field Service Technician will be responsible for maintaining our water treatment equipment at various customer sites in our Heavy industry division. This equipment includes, but is not limited to, various pumps, valves, motors, and filters. Equipment specific training will be provided. Willing to train the right person, but previous technical/mechanical/plumbing experience is especially encouraged.

　　This position has general day shift hours Monday-Friday with overtime opportunities and a compensated on-call rotation with occasional afternoons/weekends.

　　Creates and maintains safe working environment and cultures within the organization

　　Takes care of company property

　　Works with more advanced and multi/complex systems

　　Proactively trouble shoots systems for mechanical, electrical equipment conditions

　　Anticipates and corrects safety issues both company and customer owned equipment

　　May be responsible for work in multiple systems, locations or customers

　　Provides coaching or training to entry-level technicians

　　Position Requirements

　　FORMAL EDUCATION:

　　Required:

　　HS diploma or equivalent

　　Tech cert or degree or industry specific licenses

　　Technical or military background preferred

　　KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

　　Required:

　　Ability to obtain TWIC card

　　Able to operate a company service vehicle safely

　　Able to pass background check & drug screen

　　3-7 years technical experience including industrial or commercial process water experience

　　Experience with Microsoft office including smart devices

　　Must have customer service experience

　　Demonstrates critical thinking and trouble shooting ability

　　Basic controls ability (PLC)

　　DAF, clarifier or wastewater experience a PLUS

　　Additional Details

　　Must be able to function in a team environment

　　Usually works with little to no supervision

　　Works independently

　　Has ability to lead, coach, guide and motivate

　　TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 50% or more daily/local
