Responsibilities:Technical project execution, including performing and training others inhands-on field work; applying sound judgment and a deep understanding ofgoverning codes, design guidelines, and various building enclosure systemsfor analysis, detailing, and repair design; preparing technicallyexcellent client deliverables; and providing high-quality reviews of work byotProject management, including client development, project scoping,assembling and managing appropriate project teams, maintaining projectschedules and budgets, and managing client expectations and deliverablesCollaboration with interdisciplinary project teams, including providingexpertise for a variety of building envelope projects (e.g., roofing,waterproofing, curtain wall, fenestrations, troubleshooting of existingenvelope systems, enclosure commissioning (BECx), and/or specialtyconsulting of new enclosure systems from design through construction)Contributions to company-wide objectives through mentoring, participation inoffice and company development initiatives, participation with in-houseTechnical Resource Groups (TRGs), involvement in professionalorganizations, and business development to attract new and repeat clientsQualifications:Registered Architect (RA), Professional Engineer (PE), orRegistered Roof Consultant (RRC); other relevant professionalcertifications will be considered with relevant experienceBachelor's degree or better in Architecture, Architectural Engineering,Building Science, Civil Engineering or related field; master's degreepreferredMinimum eight years in the industry, including significant technicalexperience in architectural detailing of building envelope systems, roofingsystems, and waterproofing systems, particularly at the interface ofdifferent building enclosure systems, assemblies, or components;architectural peer reviews; building science and performance evaluation,including condensation, moisture, relative humidity, and thermalanalysis; peer review; commissioning; and/or new construction consultingEstablished expertise with some or all of the following materials andsystems: facades, curtain walls, fenestrations, glazing systems,sealants and coatings, insulation, air barriers, weather barriers,cladding assemblies, low-slope roofing, steep-slope roofing, below-gradewaterproofing, plaza/terrace waterproofing, traffic coatings, greenroofs, etc.Effective technical, graphical, written, and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated competence in transitioning quickly between multiple prioritieswhile maintaining effective coworker and client relationshipsPhysical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must bemet by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of thisjob.
