Become an Executive Assistant 2 at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you will be responsible for providing day to day support to the Chief Ethics Compliance Officer who oversees the company’s compliance programs, energy regulatory compliance, ethics investigations, privacy, training, policies, data analytics, board reporting, and who reports to senior management of both Edison International (EIX) and SCE.
The position is responsible for performing advanced administrative, secretarial, and clerical functions as well as special projects. In addition, this position will also support the day-to-day operational needs of the Ethics Compliance (EC) department which includes but not limited to catering requests, conference registration, researching and preparing business unit operational summaries, and active participation with the business unit support and administrative groups.
The Executive Assistant will also be responsible for maintaining confidentiality of the most sensitive and confidential corporate information. The Executive Assistant works closely with EC senior leaders to ensure the department is connected, aligned on department goals, coordinating agendas and meetings, and helping with EC engagement.

Support department executive and management as assigned; maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive and private information in a responsible manner; work independently and in a team environment; display excellent interpersonal skills and convey a positive and professional image; exercise initiative, discretion, and use good judgment; maintain a high level of attention to detail and quality of work; work effectively and accurately on diverse and concurrent assignments in an environment with frequent interruptions, changing priorities, and tight operating deadlines to carry out administrative activities or processes from start to finish with all the necessary follow-through to ensure proper time management goals are met.
Oversee executive level calendars including coordinating, scheduling, planning meetings, appointments and conferences using Outlook; review and disposition email and printed mail; ; compose correspondence and other materials as requested; answer telephones for the Vice President and supported managers and disposition calls appropriately; maintain files, expense reports, office invoices, and other forms; order office supplies; ensure office aesthetics.
Ensure the Vice President is prepared for meetings, especially for all executive level meetings; coordinate routine to large scale executive-level meetings and events, including department and division all hands meetings; ; recognition activities; complete travel arrangements; interface with all levels of personnel, including officers, executives, senior management, government agency representatives and external clients; receive visitors; respond to and/or route external vendor/media calls and inquiries accordingly.
Research, recommend, and implement appropriate courses of action/best practices on administrative matters.
Collect data, analyze, draft, proofread, edit, and format documents, spreadsheets, and reports (including charts and tables); provide support for special projects or assignments; prepare agendas, t monitor, track, and follow up on Vice President action items with department staff to ensure completion and commitment to deadlines.
The essentials:
Four years of experience performing advanced administrative, secretarial, and clerical functions in a corporate environmentThe preferred:
5 years of experience working and communicating with executive level officers and external third parties
5 years of experience managing executive-level calendars, including making travel arrangements and coordinating routine to executive-level meetings and events (e.g., setting-up conference calls, reserving conference rooms, and preparing presentations and materials)
Experience using SAP and SharePoint libraries
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to convey a positive and professional image

You should know
This position’s work mode is hybrid . The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
