Parking Attendants are responsible for taking payments for vehicles already parked and directing patrons into open spots. This position will provide visitors with directions and any information they require, ensuring that they’re greeted with courtesy every time as they enter the facility or office building. It’s important that the individual in this role can stay calm under pressure or when dealing with a dissatisfied customer.
Responsibilities
Perform valet duties and park vehicles in open spots.
Take tickets from waiting patrons and park or retrieve vehicles.
Manipulate vehicles to take advantage of all spaces..
Hold up signs advertising parking lot fees.
Report vehicles that are parked illegally.
Issue tags to customers to put up in their windshields for display.
Clean up debris from parking lot.
Use hand signals and lights to direct patrons into open spots.
Check vehicles for damage.
Ensure cameras are working properly in case an accident happens.
Position or remove barricades to prevent parking in certain spots.
Help customers locate their vehicles.
Report customers disputes that occur in parking facilities.
Escort customers to their vehicles if needed.
Call AAA or towing company if customer needs it.
Help patrons exit parking garage safely.
Give directions to nearest highway or destination.
Greet customers upon arrival and departure.
Provide customer service.
Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age or older.
