Description:BSA/Fraud Investigators maintain good analytical skills and have strong research capabilities. BSA/Fraud Investigators play a meaningful role in the transaction monitoring process. The BSA/Fraud team is dedicated in protecting the Bank from being used for illicit activity relating to fraud, money laundering or terrorist financing activity.

FOCUSES ON ACCURACY AND ATTENTION TO DETAILComplete case investigations that stem from a variety of sources; including (but not limited to) the Bank's BSA Monitoring System, Subpoenas, Internal Referrals, Supplemental Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) reviews, etc. Research and analyze transactional activity and complete research on clients. Complete vital due diligence on case investigations to make recommendations on the filing of a SAR. Complete SAR form with accuracy and write detailed SAR narratives, supporting case decisions articulately.

EMBRACES TECHNOLOGY AND CHANGEExplore efficiencies in technologies to improve processes within the Bank. Provide recommendations to ensure we are operating at an efficient level and producing outstanding work.
PROVIDE EXCEPTIONAL TEAM SUPPORTDisplays strong adherence to internal policies and procedures, as well as external regulations. Assist with BSA training for new employees and existing employees. Process Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) through our monitoring system. Support branch staff and other business units with questions and concerns regarding suspected possibly suspicious activity. Interact with various law enforcement and government investigative agencies on cases of criminal activity.
SEEK PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIESTake advantage of training and learning opportunities to further increase BSA knowledge. Continue professional development by voluntarily participating in elective courses, webinars, and seminars. Department training opportunities are available several times throughout the year. Some travel may be required to other department locations.Requirements:Qualifications, education, and experienceTo perform this job successfully, an individual is required to perform each crucial job requirement satisfactorily and a skills inventory is listed below. Minimum of 12 months of direct BSA/Fraud experience required. Bachelor's degree or equivalent from four-year College preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Successful completion of required background checks is required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to successfully complete the tasks within this position.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret documents. Possesses professional communication and social skills to write and speak effectively both one-on-one and before groups of clients or employees of the organization. Ability to communicate to clients directly and effectively.
TECHNOLOGY SKILLS: Ability to use telephone systems and possess good digital literacy including email, internet and intranet use. Prior experience using BSA supervising systems preferred but not required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to tackle exciting problems involving several variables i a standardized situation.
