D&G is seeking an enthusiastic, passionate, and eager Equipment Specialist to support the United States Coast Guard. The ideal candidate will have experience providing support to the U.S. Coast Guard Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber and Intelligence Service Center – Alexandria, VA (C5ISC-Alexandria), formally TISCOM. The position requires Equipment Specialist experience to include Product Line (PL) configuration support, life cycle sustainment, system/configuration item provisioning, parts replenishment/parts repair contract support, web/Coast Guard applications data analysis, and holistic partnership with C5ISC stakeholders to meet Product Line goals.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Identify system parts for purchase, stocking, maintenance, and repair. This includes conducting supply research and data entry to include item demand history, enrollment history/status, supply record details, and Allowance Parts List (APL) or case updates and modifications.
Support the development of APLs to include system(s), parent, child, and configuration. Work includes the creations of new APLs, modification to existing APLs, or removal/inactivation of APLs when no longer needed.
Develop Supply Item Change Record (SICR) packages for induction of new items into inventory or changes to existing inventory levels. Communicate effectively with Product Line representatives for the approval of SICRs.
Working hand-in-hand with a designated Item Manager (IM), develop Section 1 of Item Entry Proposals (IEPs). The IEP is the form used to enroll configuration items into the Naval Electronics Supply Support System (NESSS), the supply system of record for C5ISC configuration items.
Guide and assist end users with C5ISC - Alexandria Center logistics, supply, personal property, inventory management, and internal controls programs and processes. Analyze and review the complete life cycle management for C5ISC – Alexandria systems and components.
Assist with documentation of complex procedures and systems for the effective mission accomplishment of C5ISC logistics, procurement, inventory, personal property, and warehouse tasks.
Review reports, plans and schedules to determine material support requirements.
Monitor status and effectiveness of material support and follow up with responsible parties to assure that necessary actions are taken. Communicate tasking status often and succinctly. Additionally, provide detailed written input for weekly and monthly reporting status.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (twelve years of relevant experience can be substituted for a degree).
Possess at least four years of experience in conducting logistical tasks for commercial or government organizations.
Proficient in the following Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint
Ability to pass a Public Trust background investigation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting the U.S. Coast Guard
Experience with the U.S. Coast Guard’s NESSS and Fleet Logistics System (FLS) applications.
