· Play a leadership role as a senior IT professional. Take initiative to work collaboratively. Establishes positive working relationships across the organization.
· Responsible for software development activities including authoring of requirements, solution specifications, test plans; development and testing of custom software solutions.
· Provide technical input and recommendations on specific software solutions.
· Support business units by researching issues and questions to determine root cause, identify course of action and bring issue/question to resolution.
· Adhere to the software development process including utilizing iterative design approaches and concepts, creating, and filing appropriate documentation as prescribed by the process. Utilize the standardized support tools established for IT.
· Manage your time and daily activities to satisfy work assignments, performance, and deliverables. Communicate status of work assignments.
· Implement best practices for EPM administration
· Adherence to Cyber Security guidelines for the proper security management and administration of EPM
· Manage multiple purpose-driven EPM “pods” regularly
· Coordinate and support regression testing of EPM monthly patching cadence
· Coordinate and support major updates of EPM
· Troubleshoot any process and integration issues between EPM and any other systems
· Implement and follow proper approval workflows for user management
· Rigorously manage EPM Identity Domain administrative accounts and access

Basic Qualifications
Relevant Bachelor's Degree and 9 or more years of experience or equivalent relevant education/experience. Or, relevant Master's Degree and 7 or more years of experience or equivalent relevant education/experience. Or, relevant PhD and 4 or more years of experience or equivalent relevant education/experience. Applies extensive IS expertise in specific field and has full knowledge of related disciplines. Evaluates new hardware, software, systems tools and applications and makes procurement recommendations. Excellent leadership and project management skills. Skilled in analytical techniques, practices and problem solving. Extensive programming and architecture abilities with various computer software programs and information systems.

Additional Required Qualifications
· High level of experience in technical, administrative, functional, and development aspects Oracle Fusion EPM
· Expert level Groovy scripting experience
· Knowledge of ODI, SmartView, EAS Console, and EPMAutomate
· Expertise in building integrations between on-premises and Cloud EPM by leveraging available tools including EPMAutomate
· Ability to build positive working relationships across the organization, service oriented
· Experience writing technical specifications for work to be performed by other developers
· 5+ years of recent and relevant experience as an EPM technical, administrative, functional and development for on-premise (Hyperion) and Cloud EPM
· Cloud EPM experience is mandatory
· Development experience in Unix shell scripting particularly around EPMAutomate
· Federal or National Laboratory experience a plus
· Demonstrated experience in leading full scope solutions delivery through analysis, design and development of integrations, extensions, user interfaces, reports and workflows within EPM
· Experienced with full cycle SDLC or Agile methodologies, with a focus on quality, development standards, and change control
· The candidate must have the ability to design and implement solutions that are reliable, scalable, and perform at a high-level to meet the service levels associated with mission-critical EPM application
· Excellent impact-analysis skills and discipline. Carefully analyzes the existing code base as part of each design effort, to avoid redundancy and inconsistency and maximize code reuse.
· Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written) and an ability to communicate with internal and external customers and all levels of management, including communicating technical information to nontechnical audiences.
· Clear understanding of Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology and respective experience with its application in design and development phases
· Excellent understanding of coding methods and best practices. The SDE code must be worthy of being held up as an example for others to follow, in terms of readability, consistency, adherence to standards, and performance.
· Familiarity with code management software including Git
· Familiarity of job scheduling in Github runner
· 2 years of proven work experience with a wide base of knowledge of data management principles, methodologies, and frameworks including master data management, data security, data dictionaries, metadata management, data governance, and data quality.
· Proficiency in business process mapping, solution design, and data analysis
· Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
· Experience with reporting tools for analyzing datasets (Excel) and database languages (SQL)
· Excellent organization, communication, and presentation skills
· Ability to work well in a cross-organizational team environment
· Entrepreneurial, self-starter that gets excited about proactively solving problems

Annual Salary Range (based on full-time 40 hours per week)
Job Profile: IT Professional IV / Annual Salary Range: $95,500 - $171,900
NREL takes into consideration a candidate’s education, training, and experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value, including seniority and merit systems, and internal pay alignment when determining the salary level for potential new employees. In compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, a potential new employee’s salary history will not be used in compensation decisions.
