Your Responsibilities
As Environmental Engineering Manager for John Deere Horicon Works located in Horicon, WI centrally located between Milwaukee and Madison, you will have the following responsibilities:
Work to continuously improve the Environmental Programs, the ISO 14001.2015 Management System, internal policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with all environmental requirements.
Prepare and submit timely reports, environmental permit applications, internal metrics, and compliance reporting, including but not limited to: SWPPP, TRI, Tier 2, SPCC, CAA, annual permit reporting, GHG verification, etc.
Conduct Environmental Program and ISO 14001.2015 audits at Deere facilities within the region to verify compliance with the regulatory requirements, management system requirements, and internal Environmental Standards.
Lead the environmental team, facility leadership, and operations to champion our 2030 sustainability ambitions, and instill a culture of environmental compliance, awareness, stewardship, and accountability.

What Skills You Need
5 or more years of experience in environmental compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Enthusiastic communicator able to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with regulatory officials, the workforce, and factory leadership
Experience creating and updating environmental plans, permits, and standard operating procedures
Experience managing environmental programs and connecting associated stakeholders to support facility compliance and corporate strategies
What Makes You Stand Out
Experience working in a manufacturing environment and knowledge of manufacturing processes
Experience with an Environmental Management System such as ISO14001.2015
Experience working with air compliance collecting pertinent data, verifying compliance, submitting required reports, and preparing permit applications
Bi-lingual in English and Spanish
Education
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
