  Entry level IT Software Engineer - Focused on Support and Development(JAVA). Primary responsibility is in the support realm, with a secondary aspect in regards to development, of an enterprise wide cross-functional software application. Work closely with IT Software Architects, IT Technical Support, Implementation, and Operations teams as needed to provide solutions for clients.

  Job Responsibilities:

  Provide post implementation support including, but not limited to, monitoring application performance and debugging existing code.

  Provide application support to various business entities: Operations, Tech Support, Product Owners, etc.

  Analysis and translation of business requirements into technical requirements for development, and creation of design documents and technical specifications.

  Participate in solution design to satisfy a wide range of business needs.

  Adhere to Best Practices and Standards in the areas of technology and security.

  Keep abreast of advancements and changes in technology and develop an understanding of how new technologies can be leveraged to provide business solutions.

  Candidates pay range for this role: $56,000-$65,000

  EDUCATION:

  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  EXPERIENCE:

  0-2 years of related experience in software engineering support/development

  COMPETENCIES – SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:

  Technical competency in the following - JAVA, JSP, SQL.

  Logical, analytical and creative approach to solving problems.

  Ability to work both in a team-oriented environment and independently.

  Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under pressure.

  Working knowledge of the network and/or server infrastructure required to host an application.

  Strong relational database knowledge.

  Strong verbal and written communication skill.

  Ability to quickly learn new technologies and business functions.

  Strong analytical skills to determine effective approaches to business solutions.
