Description

　　Our client located in the Twin Cities is looking for an Entry Level Financial Analyst. The Entry Level Financial Analyst will be responsible for preparing financial reports, conducting business studies, developing forecast models, analyzing financial performance, and advising departments about their budgets. Located in the Shoreview, Minnesota area, this Financial Analyst role is a contract employment opportunity.

　　In this role, you will:

　　Analyze departmental fiscal data, monthly, quarterly and annually. Included in your analysis is rate approvals, contract review, commission analysis, product analysis, P& L review and other ad hoc analysis.

　　Assist departmental management staff and other members of the team in technical budgetary matters during budget hearings, finance meetings, and in the general preparation and administration of the budget.

　　Prepare short and long range projections utilizing economic forecasting and financial analytic techniques to assess the impact of budget changes.

　　Capital planning and ad hoc P& Ls.

　　Help with financial planning and modeling

　　Requirements

　　BA/BS degree (finance, economics, or similar)

　　Experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

　　Strong Communication and Interpersonal skills

　　Ability to simplify complex problems and build solutions

　　Strong Microsoft Excel and computer skills (prior experience programming a big plus)

　　Strong interest in data analysis, econometric modelling and statistical analysis
