Description:
Seeking Civil Quality Assurance (CQA) Technicians. This individual will be traveling to various landfills to perform on-site documentation/recording of daily activities and verifying that the work the general contractors are doing are accurate and correct. They will be preparing daily reports and attending daily meetings. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Construction monitoring and documentation of construction activities at solid waste landfill facilities including field inspection and testing of soils and geosynthetic liners. On-site job training will be provided as necessary. - Responsible for assuring overall compliance with all applicable project specifications and construction drawings. - Good communication, writing, and organization skills necessary. - Must be self starting and willing to work independently as well as in a team environment. - Soils laboratory coursework and interest/experience in construction is a definite plus. - Travel is required with expenses covered for out of town assignments. - Work could be 6-7 days per week with overtime anticipated during construction season. These individuals could be assigned to a job site and work 6-7 days a week for 3-4 month durations, coming home very seldom. They could expect working up to 20-30 hours of overtime each week. MUSTS: - Familiarity with construction specs - Ability to write daily/weekly reports - Attention to detail - Willingness to travel and be away from home for long periods of time - Good communication skills PLUS: - Nuclear Gauge/density certification - Landfill construction experience - Associates degree
