Kelly® Engineering is seeking an Engineering Manager for a direct hire position for their manufacturing client in Aurora, OH. Our client is a leader in power management products for mission and process-critical business applications for Fortune 100 customers.
Responsibilities
Work with Plant Manager and overall ideals of Fabrication portion of company
Protect company and customer assets from loss or damage.
Create a work environment that drives continuous improvement and employee engagement.
Research new technologies to improve production performance.
Maintain tooling / equipment standards for the plant. Supervise technical support to manufacturing to ensure all tools, equipment, and processes are meeting requirements.
Supervise teams on manufacturing feasibility, cost, safety, and product design.
Ensure contractors under engineering direction are following company safety policies and procedures
Support new product launches with process development, dimensional analysis, operator instructions, and other technical information as required.
Provide technical support to resolve customer quality issues
Provide technical assistance necessary to prevent any potential delivery issues.
Provide technical support to resolve delivery interruptions
Provide detailed information for quoting new business and or engineering changes including capital, start-up costs, and labor when required.
Provide capital project plan and forecast for budgeting process.
Manage capital jobs for cost and timing.
Review and plan process improvement activities for potential cost improvements.
Develop goals and targets for the engineering team.
Participate in the manufacturing assessment and drive improvements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
10 years experience in engineering and manufacturing
6 years managing a team of Engineers
Strong leadership, oral and written communication skills
Manufacturing and operational knowledge
Proven technical competence in multiple major subsystems
Experience in Fabrication and terminology
