We are currently seeking a “ Engineer Technical Support” to join our team in Mumbai.
Position Purpose:
Provide Sales, Service and Customer technical support via phone and other electronic means.
Remotely trouble shoot equipment to provide resolution.
Support Sales by defining and designing winning solutions - application review/approval, product configuration advice, matching product capabilities and options to internal and external customer needs.
Support Field Service - support and resolution of application/technical issues, technical phone support and troubleshooting assistance
Work with and/or support OEM’s and distributors on technical application, integration and connectivity challenges/opportunities as necessary
Work with other members of the Technical Support team to support group initiatives, KPIs and PD activities
Demonstrate proficiency by quickly gathering pertinent data, recommending corrective actions and following-up with internal and external customers to ensure issue closure/resolution.
Primary Responsibilities:
Providing telephonically support to the field force for all products issues.
Resolving issues over telephone for customers
Use of SFDC for Article attachment for TS case support
Article creation through SFDC
Able to manage assigned escalations by utilizing the escalations process.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduation / Diploma in Engineering with Electronics or Instrumentation.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
ANALYTICAL SKILL – the ability to understand customer need, identify the root cause and solve the problems
ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT – the ability to organize work with clear accountabilities and operational efficiency. Creating an environment for professional growth
Minimum of 2-year customer service or technical support experience -- the ability to remotely troubleshoot technical issues is required
Proven experience in electronics troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair
Working knowledge of computer networking & trouble shooting. Additionally, the ability to work with control logic, communication protocols.
Electro-mechanical skills required, PLC knowledge, Encoder Signals, Product detectors and I/O.
Travel: >25% - This position will be based in Mumbai,
Must have good verbal & written communication skills & proficiency in English to communicate with internal & external customers via phone & emails.
