Process Control Engineer - Rothschild BiomassCogeneration Facility (RBCF) Position Summary: This position willprovide technical support for Electrical and Process Control systems andprojects ensuring that the Biomass Cogeneration Facility generatesenergy for the electrical power grid and steam for the mill. KeyResponsibilities: * Personally adhere to and enforce all safetyprocedures and policies, to include confined space, and lockout/tag out.* Coordinates and oversees process control and electrical installationsand modifications to achieve project performance objectives, costs, andsafety requirements. * Provides DCS support including configurations,programming, process control upgrades for new installations and processimprovements. * Provides support for AC/DC electrical equipmentincluding power generation, electrical distribution, drives, breakers,transformers, PLC controls and related. * Investigates, troubleshoots,and provides solutions for repeat process control and electrical systemproblems and failures. Works with Electrical and Instrumentation Techsto develop solutions. * Must be familiar with Data Communications andNetworking * Develops project scope, cost estimates, and followsproject through to implementation. * Procures process control andelectrical equipment for projects. * Participates in technical designdiscussions and decisions. * Able to work across company boundaries intwo separate industries (Pulp/Paper and Utilities) * Champion ofenvironmental and regulatory compliance * Manages and CoordinatesOutside Contractors (sub-contractors) and vendors. TechnicalCompetencies: * A strong technical background is a must.
