POSITION SUMMARY The Clean Up Team Member will repair, re-build, or fix components on fire apparatus using skills from every aspect of Rosenbauer production process. They will perform various department duties to complete difficult objectives to finish the fire apparatus. Also, they will work on fabrication, plumbing, electrical, and finish products. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS All employees are required to support Rosenbauer s Mission, Vision, and Values. The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer. Repairs, rebuilds, or fixes components on fire apparatus using skills from every aspect of Rosenbauer production process. Performs various department duties to complete difficult objectives to finish the fire apparatus. Works on fabrication, plumbing, electrical, chassis frame, axles, air brakes, and finish products. Utilizes basic hand tools, grinders, sanders, torch, and other tools to complete the objective on the fire apparatus. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our members. WORKING CONDITIONS This position is in a general shop where different tasks are completed and has access to all welfare facilities. The temperature varies due to the building not being temperature controlled and can be humid at times. There is also constant noise with all the machines that are used inside the shop which will cause a difficulty of hearing. Besides noise, some of the machines produce vibrations when being used. Most of the hazards come from machines but following proper procedures should minimize risk. This position may require contact with corrosives/oil/detergents but by following safety procedures, risk should be minimized. Sometimes this position requires to be above floor level and work in confined spaces. PHYSICAL DEMANDS This position requires standing, walking, and the use of hands for the entire shift. It can become very loud in the shop with many machines being used at once. With constant noise, talking or hearing can be difficult. During shifts, some projects require the use of feet, arms, legs, hands, and fingers for over 60 minutes at a time. This position requires reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. The use of knees, back, and shoulders can range from 30 to 60 minutes. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, ability to adjust focus, and good depth perception. All positions require the ability to lift 50 pounds.
