Position Objective:
The Director of EMR is an operational role, and is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, monitoring, maintenance, and training of our electronic medical record systems. The position will report to the Chief Ops Officer (or similar role) and will work closely with executive and clinical teams to meet needs, discuss advancement opportunities within the EMR systems, obtain feedback on the EMR system design, functionality, and stability.
Responsibilities:
Oversee EMR implementation operations in order to assure deadlines are met, clinic staff are trained, account creations/revisions are completed, training materials are updated, revised, and maintained and that the EMR system is running smoothly and efficiently
Supervise and direct a team responsible for design, development implementation, and monitoring of the EMR, account creation, access, and security of the EMR, as well as the training and support of all users
Provide Better Health Group (BHG) team members with guidance, insight, leadership, and support, and foster team cohesiveness
Manage and oversee project creation, time management, deadlines, project completion, and issue-resolution in order to successfully implement the organization’s programs, system updates, new functionality, clinic integrations, conversations, etc.
Keep up-to-date with technological advancements and new functionality
Partner with the ERM companies to ensure alignment, support and communications are happening consistently to further optimize the EMRs
Work closely with executive and clinical management in order to understand program and staff needs and support those needs through application design
Develop and deploy implementation/revision plans and educate leadership and program staff about the system
Facilitate feedback loop meetings, interpret information collected, and delegate necessary changes needed to BHG team members for completion
Maintain tickets generated from our clinics - both technical and educational support in a timely manner
Strategically partner with internal product owners to collaborate and optimize the EMR to each product line utilizing the system

Position Requirements/ Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, analytics, systems engineering, healthcare administration, or computer related field
At least 7 years of experience progressive IT experience to include at least 3 years of leadership/management experience
Experience with healthcare information systems, preferably eClinicalWorks (eCW)
Proven experience with system implementation
Proven project management experience, including managing multiple projects at once
Promotion of updates to systems, representing them positively to the user community
Proficient with Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for real-time collaboration
