Overview
The Manager of Employee Experience creates and leads Loretto’s short and longterm employee engagement strategy by developing and implementing experience and retention initiatives and leveraging data and metrics to measure success toward goals supporting the engagement strategy. The Manager is the first point of contact for new employees to the organization and is responsible for helping to ensure that every employee has an exceptional experience working for Loretto. The Manager will also focus on the retention and development activities of employees who have surpassed their first year of employment with the company. The Manager will partner with managers to help employees navigate career ladders so that they can advance within the company. The Manager will also oversee recognition programs, including benchmark celebrations, graduations, and other promotional programs to incentivize employees to remain and flourish.
The Manager will manage and lead the employee coaches, to help connect new employees to resources (both internal and external) needed to succeed on and off the job. The Manager will track 90-day and 1-year rookie ratios and develop mentorship and other initiatives designed to increase employee retention during these critical periods. The Manager will work closely with the Learning, Development and Employee Experience Director (L, D& EX) to implement and improve new employee orientation (NEO) and other workforce readiness initiatives, including belonging and inclusivity/DEI efforts to ensure that new employees are given the training they need to understand the job and successfully integrate into the role for which they applied. This role willalso participate in or lead Employee Experience and Retention related projects as well as projects that connect with operational activities as required.
Responsibilities
Job duties specific to this position:
Provides full range support to develop, support and retain experienced Loretto employees. Researches and recommends best practice experience and retention strategies, programs, and practices; leads/ assists in implementation of same Coordinates employee recognition programs Assesses and implements new employee and service benchmark award programs. Leads/supervises employee appreciation committee & events. Reviews the success of these programs and partners with Employee Advisory Committee to understand the employees’ needs and determine if an alternative\solution is better suited to meet those needs.
Supports Learning, Development & Employee Experience Director in implementation of manager training initiatives & assessments, and other workforce readiness initiatives/programs. Conducts employee listening sessions, stay and exit interviews; reports findings and recommendations to Director/Senior Leaders for implementation. Partners with Education to recruit, place and retain employees in LPN apprentice program. Provides counseling to employees on Loretto career options, and skill requirements for various roles/ disciplines. Assists L, D & EX Director, and Compensation Director in development of career ladders. Facilitates leadership development (i.e. work to identify and promote high potential staff); identifies opportunities for emerging leaders to engage community leadership, volunteerism, contact for community organizations. Conducts regular employee surveys; communicates results to sr. management, and established actions/teams to address key opportunities/ problems. Including improvement metrics and dashboards Supervises employee support programs [transportation, childcare, financial literacy, car buying program] Supports employee WeCare Program Provides regular reporting and analytics on current turnover patterns and proactively partners with the business to address greatest areas of need. Partners with HR Business Partners on interventions to retain at risk experienced employees [post-year one] – and employees prior to the 1-year mark. Review key industry trends and best practices on employee experience. Actively participates in the long-term and short-term strategic planning processes incorporating Human Resources best practices and collaborating with peers to define appropriate and achievable goals and objective measurements. Develops engagement, DEI/Belonging and Inclusivity, and retention plans, programs, and initiatives that support organizational goals and strategy, in partnership with L, D & EX Director. Acts as a change agent and promotes innovation and continuous improvement throughout HR and the organization. Uses open communication and critical thinking skills during conflict resolution, problem solving, decision-making, coaching and other complex dialogues. Leads and participates in meetings, improvement projects and task forces as appropriate. Provides support and oversight for the successful start and integration of new hires through year one. Implements and continuously improves the new employee orientation (NEO) program to introduce new employees to Loretto and offer a first-day experience that makes new employees feel valued, connected, and inspired, acts as lead facilitator for NEO. Manages employee coaching programs and supervises employee coaches. Develops annual goals and metrics for coaching function & staff, including turnover and retention. Ensures new and prospective employees are aware of coaching support options. Supervises employee support programs [transportation, childcare, financial literacy, car buying program]. Develops and oversees mentoring programs. Develops positive Student and Intern program experiences; coordinates with other HR staff and external partners to establish “pre-career” and entry level opportunities at Loretto. Partners with Education function to ensure success CNA/CHHA trainees. Provided post-graduation support. Ensures awareness and optimal utilization of external support resources (i.e. ESI) Develops and supports Workforce Readiness program. Acts as a change agent and promotes innovation and continuous improvement throughout HR and the organization

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree or higher in human resources, social services, psychology or a related field Ability to collaborate with all levels of the organization from executive management tooperations staff. Ability to lead, guide, engage and motivate staff. Action oriented with ability to breakdown complex issues into action steps, clearly articulate aplan and execute effectively. Excellent project management skills. High level of emotional intelligence. Excellent presentation/facilitation skills preferred. Ability to take initiative and apply a sense of urgency around achieving results, buildingconsensus without creating prolonged processes. Ability to analyze problems, plan resolution strategies, implement solutions and evaluateoutcomes. Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills, including listening. Proficient in MS Office, and able to learn new software rapidly.
An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.
