About EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

  Summary You will serve as an EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the PLANS AND OPERATIONS DIVISION of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION, NEW RIVER. Responsibilities You will support and assist the Installation Emergency Manager (IEM) and IP/Mission Assurance (MA) Program Manager. You will perform training needs analysis, recommends training, develops the EM/IP Training and Exercise Employment Plan, and instructs EM and Incident Command System (ICS) training. You will plan, direct, and coordinate the execution and support of exercises and training to facilitate the execution of the installation IAP, Response, and Emergency Action Plans. You will ensure Exercise Planning Team members are briefed and clearly understand all elements of the exercise to be conducted. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning, coordinating, or executing all-hazards training and exercises continually with installation staff and tenants activities; and plans, develops, coordinates, schedules, instructs, or maintains records for all-hazards and Continuity of Operations Plans (COOP) training programs for the command. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education.
