The lab tests a very wide range of Electrical and Electronic systems for Commercial, Automotive, and Medical industries. The atmosphere is casual but intensive - many projects are running simultaneously and must be kept running on time and budget. This position is an onsite position. The training is very "on the job" - initially observing and assisting existing Engineers & Technicians - and then assuming a bigger role as experience is gained and demonstrated. The role requires someone very detail oriented who can concentrate on the details of the job in hand and make the minimum number of mistakes. Part-time non-exempt position for TUV SUD Product Service Division. Interpret an EMC Test Plan. Set up of basic RF Emissions Tests. Set up of basic RF Immunity Tests. Electrostatic Discharge Testing Learn Basic Electrical Transient Tests. Trouble shoot RF test systems. Setup, configure and validate customer projects and equipment to prepare them for testing. Learn how to set up and operate common EMC lab equipment including, but not limited to: Oscilloscopes, RF Signal Generation devices, RF Receivers & Spectrum Analyzers, Function Generators, RF Power Meters, Voltmeters, Fiber Optic Remote Monitoring Systems. BASIC SKILLS: Time Management Project Management Report Writing Operation of basic software packages for scheduling/program management/Testing. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Support the TUV SUD vision and mission statement. Adhere to all TUV SUD policies and procedures as outlined in the various Corporate Policies and the Employee Handbook.
