SMX is seeking an Instructor to support G6 at Fort Belvoir, VA. The successful candidate will have experience instructing the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) and in creating curriculum and training materials.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Create and update training materials, courses, and modules in the areas of RMF and eMASS.
Conduct classroom or online training sessions to educate students and professionals on cybersecurity principles, RMF processes, and the use of eMASS.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging cybersecurity threats to provide up-to-date and accurate instruction.
Instruct on the RMF process, emphasizing the steps for security categorization, assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring of information systems.
Provide hands-on training for using eMASS, guiding students in its implementation for documentation, tracking, and managing the RMF process.
Instruct individuals on adhering to security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with cybersecurity regulations.
Promote cybersecurity awareness and best practices among students, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a strong security posture.
Required Skills, Experience & Education
Active TS security clearance and eligible for SCI and NATO read-on prior to starting work.
Extensive experience in eMASS.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, or a related discipline.
Meet the DoD requirements for a privileged user on a TS/SCI information system prior to starting work.
Prior experience as an instructor delivering cybersecurity or RMF training.
Proven teaching skills and the ability to effectively convey complex concepts are important.
In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, ISSM/ISSO responsibilities, RMF processes, and proficiency in using eMASS is essential.
Must meet DoD 8570 level II certification compliance (i.e. possess one of the following certifications: CompTIA CySA+, CompTIA Security+, CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP)
