OVERVIEW: Entry-level electronics technician position. Uses basic skills and knowledge to follow clearly defined standard operating procedures. Receives instruction and close supervision of work processes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & SKILLS:
Interpret engineering schematics, pin schedules, and loom drawings to construct quality wiring harnessesAbility to clearly communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing with other technicians and engineersAble to perform in a dynamic and fast paced environmentAble to use Microsoft Office software tools: Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, web browsersUnderstand and follow IPC 620C wire harness build processesMaintain clean and organized work environmentPerform quality assurance checks on various Electronics Lab work productsPerform installation of electrical components onto vehiclesEDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of a high school diploma0 -- 3 years of electronic component build, test or repair experienceDESIRED SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Experience with typical electronics tools: oscilloscope, voltmeter, power supplies, hand tools, soldering iron, etcPrinted circuit board assembly and repair experienceHigh Voltage system safetyKnowledge of military or motorsports industry wiring loom build techniques and componentsMust be dependable and take extreme pride in workPHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to use common electronics hand tools and test equipmentMust be able to identify color-coded wires and ID labelsAbility to work on vehicles and equipment, including on top of, underneath, and confined spacesAbility to occasionally lift/carry up to 50lbsOccasional exposure to hazardous substances such as epoxies and gluesWork primarily performed in Electronics Lab with occasional work time in workshop areas, and outdoor test locations.EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
