We are in search of a dynamic engineer to join our innovative team in providing advanced photonics communications and sensing solutions for warfighters in contested airborne and terrestrial environments. Our organization leverages microwave photonics and free space optics (FSO) to facilitate communication, even in jammed situations, with low probability of intercept (LPI)/low probability detection (LPD).
As a Mixed Signal Hardware Design Engineer, you will be a vital player in our mission to deliver high-performance solutions with lower SWaP that are Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA) compliant. You will also contribute to our ongoing major developments in our free space optical line.
Hard Skills
Minimum of four years of experience in mixed signal hardware circuits design, including FPGAs and CPLDs, ADCs and DACs, microprocessor, and DSP processor circuits, linear and switching voltage regulators, clock circuits, active and passive filters, and serial communication circuits.
Experience in design, simulation, and testing of FPGA based digital logic designs using industry standard design suites.
Experience in PCB Design, particularly with Altium, high speed board design, and multi-layer board design (10-18 layers).
Technical Background in Aerospace and Defense Avionics.
Experience in the lab testing hardware circuits using test equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, multimeters, and temperature chambers.
Knowledge of signal integrity and best practices for layout of mixed signal circuits containing both high frequency and noisy signals.

Education
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience or a Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

The selected candidate will be interacting with other Electrical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, and our Chief Engineer who holds 2 PhDs in free space optical.
