JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB SUMMARY The electrical product assembler role lieswithin our final assembly department. This role is responsible formaking the connection from the internal assembly to the externalassembly and adding on any external components (bushings, radiators,etc.). Employees in this role must develop skills in Tank Equipment,Wiring, Conduit, Drop In and Encasement. S/he may be responsible toperform repairs on units, parts, or incoming materials. PRINCIPLE DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES Receive assignments and instructions fromsupervisor - both verbal and written. Follows drawings, Bill ofMaterials, and other established manufacturing procedures. Coordinateand communicate with supervision and team leads Read and understandschedule and work flow requirements Get materials from storage areas,and complete kits with hardware and parts Be able to read, understandand follow guidelines set forth by Engineering Instructions andManufacturing Procedures Able to read blueprints and assemble componentsper drawings provided and established standards. Inspect assemblies,product, processes, and materials for conformance to design criteria,applicable specifications, and inspection procedures Keep tools,equipment and work area clean and orderly. Visually check equipment toensure it is in normal operating condition. Verify lifts and cranesbefore use (crane cable & limit switches) Perform minor equipmentrepairs and machine maintenance Use shop floor labor collection systemaccurately. Punch in and out of operations appropriately for all typesof work (direct labor, indirect labor, rework, etc). Write maintenancework orders for damaged tooling and equipment when necessary. Ability toutilize computer system to review procedures, drawings,non-conformances, etc. Perform work in other departments as needed.Follow all safety procedures and policies of the company Will performrepair work on oily components inside and outside of the tank asrequired. Keep tools, equipment and work area clean and orderly. Trainon 5S principles. Assist in training of new operators. Investigatepotential and actual non-conformances, and recommend corrective actionMay work in Med Power, Large Power or EHV product lines Weld componentswith appropriate techniques (optional) Perform other work asrequired.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Utilize portable scaffold andsteps, ladders, radial and band saw, vacuum cleaner, hydraulic jacks,threading machine, hi-press crimpers, grinder, stud gun, hand drill,pneumatic wrenches, mallet, sledge, pry bars, blocks, wire stripper,hand crimper,...
