About Electrical Engineer (Water/Wastewater)

  Electrical system design with water-related projects such as water and sewer master plans; pipelines, pump stations, reservoirs, tanks, wells, hydraulic structures and water and wastewater treatment facility designs, including innovations with gravity filters, membrane processes, reverse osmosis and PFAS/PFOAS removal systems. Assist with planning, design, and construction oversight of water and wastewater treatment and pumping facility projects. Develop advanced solutions in the field of Municipal and Federal water distribution, water treatment, wastewater distribution, and wastewater treatment. Design supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems. Research and create telemetry, communication and control systems for water and wastewater treatment and distribution systems. Specify electrical power, lighting, control, technology, security and life safety components. Create electrical Permitting, agency review and construction documents, including site plans, floor plans, process & instrumentation diagrams, one-lines, equipment schedules and riser diagrams. Design systems to improve technological security for Municipal and Federal SCADA systems. Power engineering, motor control systems and energy conservation methods for water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping facilities, wells, and/or power generators. Planning, design, and project delivery for a variety of projects related to electrical design for Municipal and Federal infrastructures and facilities, campuses, roadways, buildings, and water/wastewater systems. Assist project managers with project coordination and development of planning concepts and design strategies. Lead electrical design for water/wastewater projects. Work with Owner s and Clients to develop scope of work for projects. Manage electrical/instrumentation and control projects and coordinate with other disciplines such as process, mechanical, structural, civil, etc. Assist with estimates of man-hours required to complete projects. Monitor progress of all projects. Prepare technical memoranda, construction drawings, specifications, and opinions of probable contractor construction costs. Provide engineering support during the construction phase of projects which includes site verification, responding to contractor questions/issues, support client and owners, test and verify control system and power system operations. Provide technical support for marketing and proposal efforts and during the procurement of key projects. Utilizes technologies in development of three-dimensional models of electrical systems. Conducts quality assurance and implements quality control frameworks on own projects. Conducts reviews of project deliverables produced by peers and subordinate engineers.
