Job Description
We're seeking a new in career Electrical Engineert to join the Electrical Systems Engineering (ESE) Group, at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL). The ESE group is the engineering group responsible for the electrical distribution systems throughout Bettis Laboratory. Included in the distribution systems are multiple Medium Voltage and low voltage distribution substations, various building substations that transform the voltages to an appropriate level, as well as a portion of the equipment that these systems power. This responsibility includes maintenance of the substations and electrical components, planning modifications to the system as well as designing and overseeing complex electrical tasks throughout the site.About the role:Develop work packages to troubleshoot, repair, replace, or modify the electrical distribution systems at the laboratory.Work closely with various operations and stakeholder groups to develop the work package and to follow the performance of work, including the operations and maintenance craft personnel, subcontractors, and lab technicians.Coordinate and resolve any issues with the personnel affected by the work evolutions that are planned.Responsible for a portion of the low voltage distribution equipment on the site, including recapitalization efforts, modernization efforts, and assessment of system health, planning maintenance evolutions, and response to unplanned events or outages.
Required Combination of Knowledge and SkillBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 2 years of relevant experience; orMaster's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 1 year of relevant experience; or Currently or previously EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program; orSRE qualified.

Pay Range$75,300 - $115,300 annuallyNote the salary information provided above is a general guideline only.
