Position: Economic Security Technician-Medicaid

　　Duties: This position determines initial and ongoing eligibility forMedicaid cases and processes client changes within all established timeframes.Offers information and makes referrals relating to child support, childprotection, foster care, group homes, and mental health. This positionworks closely with all eligibility units and associated program rules,regulations and procedures.Reviews application and interviews applicants as necessary regarding income,financial resources, household composition and employment status todetermine eligibility for Medicaid cases. Explains Medicaid programs,interpret regulations, and procedures; assists clients in completingforms; secures verification of eligibility factors, income, resources,identity, age, citizenship, residence, and social security numberthrough collateral contacts; explains appeal rights and procedures. Ensuresthat each case is documented correctly and follows up and clears IEVS hits.

　　Requirements: Must have a valid Colorado driver's license, vehicle insafe operating condition and liability insurance. Must be physicallypresent within the geographical boundaries of Fremont County when performingon-call duties.

　　Level I: Education and or Experience: Graduation from high school or GEDequivalency. One-year full time, paid orunpaid, experience involving extensive public contact.Substitutions: Satisfactory completion of appropriate course work obtainedbeyond high school may substitute for therequired experience on a month for month basis.Level II: Education and or Experience: Graduation from high school or GEDequivalency. Two (2) years full timeresponsible office clerical or extensive public contact experience.

　　Substitutions: Successful completion of an associate s degree orbachelor s degree in business, behavioral science, orappropriately related field may substitute for the required experience on ayear for year basis.

　　Other Requirements: Must be able to pass a nationwide background check.

　　Wage: $18.92 - $20.44 per hour.

　　Shift: Full-time position 40 hours a week, discuss days and hours withemployer.

　　Job Site: Canon City, CO.
