The Research Communications and Economic Education team, part of the Research Department, has an immediate opening for an Economic Education Specialist (Senior or Advanced). This position reports to the Director of Economic Education.
As an Economic Education Specialist, you’ll be part of a dynamic team sharing resources and research with students to spark their interest in economics and equip them with the information they need to make sound financial decisions. You’ll build long-lasting relationships with economics and personal finance educators to support their work in the classroom. And you’ll engage with constituents throughout the Fifth District to increase their knowledge about the role of the Richmond Fed and the Federal Reserve in the economy.
What You Will Do:
Develop and execute educational and professional development programs to increase awareness and uptake of Richmond Fed educational resources
Build and maintain partnerships with civic and educational organizations and develop innovative programming to leverage these partnerships to increase audience reach
Build and maintain strategic relationships with state education officials, school administrators, directors and leaders of educational organizations, and educators to establish, improve, and promote Bank's economic education and financial literacy initiatives.
Manage event planning and logistics, including negotiating and working with vendors, educational partners, and internal departments to execute workshops, roundtables, webinars, national and local conference presentations and exhibits.
Collaborate with communications, marketing, and publications teams to produce and promote educational materials across platforms.
Deliver in-person and virtual presentations and speeches to diverse audiences.
Qualifications:
7+ years of relevant work experience
Bachelor's degree required in Economics, Education, or related field. Graduate degree preferred
Thorough knowledge of the Federal Reserve System and economic principles
Previous experience with high school or college teaching highly preferred
Experience with MS Office Suite, Salesforce, Tableau or related tools highly preferred
Required travel between 10-25% of the time. Mostly within North and South Carolina.

Job Title (Senior or Advanced) and salary offered will be based on the job responsibilities and the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience as defined in the job qualifications.
The Econ Education Specialist, Senior hiring range is $85,700 to $107,100 annually. (5+ years of experience)
The Econ Education Specialist, Advanced hiring range is $99,400 to $124,300, annually. (10+ years of experience)
