  Overview

  Position Overview: Aegis Aerospace is seeking motivated and talented individuals separating from the military to join our team as aDoD SkillBridge intern. Interns will need to be onsite at one of our locations: Houston, TX, Huntsville, AL, Cocoa Beach, FL, Abuquerque, NM, Colorado Springs, CO. This program provides transitioning service members with valuable industry experience and skills to facilitate a successful transition from military service to civilian employment. As an intern at Aegis Aerospace Inc., you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects and gain hands-on experience in various areas of our organization.

  Responsibilities

  Responsibilities:

  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing projects and initiatives.

  Assist in conducting research, data analysis, and report preparation.

  Participate in design and development activities, contributing to the creation of cutting-edge aerospace and defense technologies.

  Support the implementation and testing of software systems and hardware components.

  Aid in the preparation of technical documentation and presentations.

  Follow established quality control procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.

  Perform other tasks and duties as assigned to support the objectives of the internship program.

  Qualifications

  Qualifications:

  Active duty military service member within 365-180 days of transition/ separation.

  Meet all eligibility criteria for the DoD SkillBridge program.

  Strong interest in aerospace and defense industries.

  Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  Proficiency in using standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).

  Familiarity with engineering principles and technical concepts is preferred.

  U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States.

  Updated resume detailing your military service, education, and relevant experience.

  A brief cover letter explaining your interest in the aerospace and defense industry and why you would like to participate in the SkillBridge program. Please provide locations you are interested in, dates you will be doing SkillBridge if approved, and your date of separation.

  Proof of eligibility for the DoD SkillBridge program.

  Important Information:

  This is an unpaid internship, and participants will continue to receive their military pay and benefits.

  The duration of the internship will align with the DoD SkillBridge program guidelines.

  Interns are responsible for their own transportation, housing, and other personal expenses.
