Description
We are offering a unique opportunity for an interim Divisional/Plant Controller in Minnetonka, Minnesota. This role is critical to our team, as you will oversee accounting functions, budget processes, and capital management within our manufacturing industry. This is a contract position that requires a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing cost accounting, inventory accounting, bank reconciliations, and standard costing.
Responsibilities:
• Overseeing and managing all accounting functions within the division
• Developing and implementing budget processes to ensure financial stability
• Managing capital resources and implementing strategies for optimal capital management
• Implementing and maintaining manufacturing cost accounting systems to track and reduce costs
• Managing inventory accounting to ensure accurate and timely recording of inventory transactions
• Performing bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records
• Implementing standard costing methods to accurately cost products and services
• Managing cash resources to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations
• Overseeing intercompany accounting processes to ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions
• Analyzing manufacturing costs and implementing strategies to reduce these costs.
Requirements • Proven experience in Divisional/Plant Controller roles
• Proficiency in Accounting Functions
• Familiarity with Budget Processes
• Understanding of Capital Management
• Expertise in Manufacturing Cost Accounting
• Knowledge of Inventory Accounting
• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations
• Experience with Standard Costing
• Proficient in Cash Management
• Knowledge of Intercompany Accounting
• Experience with Intercompany Transactions
• Understanding of Manufacturing Costs
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in relevant accounting software and applications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Relevant certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) would be an advantage.
