  Basic Functions

  Develop and maintain a profitable volume of sales within the assigned trade territory. Maintain and develop a Nucor Builder organization, proficient in the sale and administration of Nucor products and services.

  Basic Job Functions:

  The primary role of the District Sales Manager is to provide strategic direction and leadership working within a team environment to grow and develop Nucor Buildings Groups market share. This position will provide an emphasis on finding and developing new accounts and nurturing relationships with existing accounts.

  Effectively build a preference for NBS and develop ongoing relationships with builders.

  Develop and maintain relationships with key accounts to generate project leads, increase sales effectiveness and work to establish a preferred supplier relationship.

  Incorporate professional selling skills and relationship development techniques which assist NBS and NBSs Builders expand new and existing building opportunities.

  Develop and implement sales strategies, effectively communicate project information, and assist in generating presentation proposals.

  Maximize division profitability by managing value added opportunities on every project.

  Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead and uphold safety practices, policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards to always make safety a priority.

  Minimum Qualifications:

  High School Diploma

  Minimum 2-years sales experience working directly with customers in the construction or building materials industry.

  Valid Drivers license and proof of insurance

  Must reside in or relocate to the selling territory

  Ability and willingness to travel (some overnights) the territory as needed

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Bachelors Degree in Business, Civil Engineering, or Construction desired About Us
