Description:
Under the supervision of the Department Management Team, the Distribution Services Tech I is responsible to
distribute, collect, transport, repair, and clean patient use equipment. The Tech is also responsible to deliver clean
supplies and linen in support of patient care as well as all other departments throughout the Medical Center and
pick up soiled linen as needed.
Delivers clean supplies and linen to patient care areas.
Picks up soiled linen and equipment from the patient care areas.
Conducts floor walks on nursing units using hand held device to track equipment on a daily basis.
Assists user departments in unloading and storing linen and medical supplies at nursing unit locations as required.
Set up traction equipment for patients.
Cleans equipment such as but not limited to IV poles, IV pumps, Epidural pumps, SCD pumps, Hypothermia machines, PCA pumps with low level disinfectants.
Required: High School Diploma
Computer Skills: Basic keyboarding and handheld tracking device (inventory mgt.)
