Job DescriptionDistribution Center Administration940 W Wilbeth Rd, Akron, OH 44314OH100 Distribution CenterPart-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 8:00am - 5:00pmUp to 25 hours/weekOVERVIEW:Working as Part-time Distribution Center Administration, you will be involved with recruiting and onboarding new employees, as well as, supporting various administrative functions at our Distribution Center located at 940 W Wilbeth Rd, Akron, OH 44314. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.RESPONSIBILITIES:The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:o Answering phones and providing customer serviceo Preserving and maintaining confidentiality in all facets of employee interactiono Maintaining confidential files, documents and recordso Preparing onboarding packets and conducting new employee orientationo Gathering new employee paperwork for processingo Attending and participating in hiring and recruitment events and tracking effortsREQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:o Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as neededo Prior administrative/customer service experience OR industry experience and product knowledgeo Proficient written and oral communication skillso Proficient using Microsoft Office Suiteo Highly motivated, self directed and customer service orientedo Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilitieso Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skillso Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environmento Work independently as well as in a team environmento Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamworko Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)o Successfully pass a post offer pre-employment drug screen, background check, and previous employment verification, required by a customer/contract serviced by this locationPREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:o Possess or are working towards a degree in Human Resources, Administration, Communication OR have relevant administrative work experienceABOUT US:Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
