Summary:
The Director of Compliance will report to the Vice President of Compliance and work collaboratively to ensure management oversight of the design and implementation of an effective compliance program that will include policy review and development, education and training, risk assessments, and monitoring and auditing activities and that is designed to prevent, detect and respond appropriately to compliance risks in areas such as physician relationships, potential conflicts of interest, other interactions with industry, exclusion checks, and billing and coding.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a degree in Health Care Management, Business or related field. Master's degree preferred.Significant experience in Health Care Compliance. Minimum 7 years required, 10 years preferred.Advanced knowledge of health care compliance in areas such as: HIPAA, medical/clinical records management, conflicts of interest, physician relationships, exclusion checks, education and training, incident investigation, audits, risk assessment and work plan development, and billing and coding.Significant experience in a clinical or healthcare environment.Budgeting and financial management experience is a plus.Excellent project management experience.
Certification/Licensure:
Current CHC or other relevant healthcare compliance certification preferred.If not currently certified, then CHC or other appropriate healthcare compliance certification must be attained within 24 months of employment.
