ISD is a key differentiator in accelerating a customer’s transformation ensuring they get the most out of their technology investments. Risk Management and Quality Assurance (RMQA) is an independent team within ISD that is accountable for protecting ISD from undue risk across the consulting lifecycle, driving quality assurance and partnering with sales, delivery, and corporate teams in driving continuous improvement.
The Director, Risk Management and Quality Assurance (covers United States Commercial/State and Local Gov, Canada and LATAM) oversees a team of 12 people focused on risk assessment, risk mitigation and quality assurance for sales and delivery for the Americas business. This is a senior role that will interfaces with sales, delivery, and account leaders across Americas as well as customer CXOs.

The Director, Risk Management and Quality Assurance (RMQA) will be responsible for:
Oversight of the Americas Risk Management and Quality Assurance (RMQA) team focused on:
Providing risk and quality assurance oversight for complex deals; provides quality reviews during pre-sales; Advises pursuit teams on lessons learned, risk avoidance and mitigation.
Providing delivery portfolio risk assessments, mitigation and lessons learned
Providing in-depth risk assessments, quality reviews and corrective actions for complex delivery programs
Preparation and presentation (to Senior Executives) of Complex Deal Reviews with recommendations on approval and conditions of approval; coaching of team to drive quality reviews for lower complexity levels.
Partner with the Contracts/Commercial Management Team and Enterprise Risk Management functions in partnership with key stakeholders, to minimize risk and drive compliance in contracting, pricing, and deal negotiations.
Partner with the Delivery Acceleration Team to provide feedback on the development and deployment of processes, methods, tools, and training supporting the RMQA team as well as ISD field teams. These activities are critical to achieving the goal of maturing the ISD organization.
As the business evolves, work with peer RMQA Leaders to evolve RMQA Services, scope and coverage and obtain agreement from ISD Leadership.
Conduct hands-on Quality Reviews – Phase Review as needed for top customers interfacing directly with Customer CXOs and Microsoft executives/leaders.
Establish and maintain executive relationships across Sales, Delivery, Account Management, Operations and Pursuit Management in the Americas Region
on request, serve as a Risk Management Advisor for top customers or lead corrective actions for challenged programs.
As needed, lead organizational or regional level transformation initiatives and serve as a senior leader and advisor who proactively engages with the sales and delivery ecosystem to solve problems, raise maturity, and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in related field AND 10+ years consulting/professional services delivery, project management, practice management, or related fieldo OR equivalent experience.
6+ years people management experience.Additional or Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in related field AND 15+ years experience in consulting/professional services delivery, project management, or practice management, or leading portfolio management, complex programs, or revenue-driven (e.g., $10 million +) programso OR equivalent experience.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
9+ years working in a consulting organization, preferably Big 5 Consulting, large Global System Integrators, Microsoft, EDS, HP, Oracle, or IBM
5+ years’ experience managing risk and quality in consulting deal and delivery.
Demonstrated experience in developing evolution plans for teams to drive improvements and new services/solutions.
2+ years consulting, professional services, or related financial management experience (e.g., cost management, revenue forecasting).
The role is based in the United and will require 6 weeks (annually) of global travel.
Consulting Project Management M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $131,700 - $258,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $170,400 - $277,200 per year.
