The Director, Revenue Controller is a senior financial leader and considered a trusted business partner across the organization by providing business, revenue and operational guidance to mitigate risk and drive efficiencies, while building and motivating a strong team to achieve business objectives. This will include extensive collaboration with cross-functional teams, including the Technical Accounting, Legal, Operations, and Product organizations. The successful candidate will possess extensive experience across accounting, revenue recognition, financial analysis, customer operations, team building, leadership and process/system improvements.Responsibilities:Manage and evolve the revenue accounting team to drive initiatives to streamline processes and improve accounting line support and deliver on core day-to-day responsibilitiesWork with the Sales organization to develop frameworks for complex deal structures which accomplish customer objectives, while yielding desired economics and accounting outcomesReview documentation of sales contracts and transactions to ensure compliance with accounting policies and guidanceDevelop and implement robust revenue recognition processes to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulationsCollaborate with Technical Accounting team on maintaining and enhancing accounting policies related to revenue recognition and related areasDesign and maintain an effective internal control environment over the order-to-cash cycle, including reporting and related accounting estimatesWork closely with external auditors to facilitate annual integrated audit process and address any audit findingsDrive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of revenue accounting operationsServe as business owner of revenue related systems and provide leadership and strategic guidance to support system consolidation/upgrades, product initiatives and regulatory and tax compliance needsSupport business and finance teams in analysis of revenue related transactions and variances to budgetProvide management with financial reporting information and operational supportRequirements:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA and/or public accounting experience preferred10+ years of relevant accounting and reporting experienceGlobal public company experience subject to SOX regulation, preferably with technology companies, operating across diverse regulatory frameworks, with sales and operations located in multiple countriesExperience proactively providing early insight, driving engagement, strong controllership, and ensuring that the implications of business decisions to he Sales and Operations organizations are well-understoodExperience leading significant business process changesRevenue recognition experience, particularly related to software-as-a-service, strongly preferredExperience with the application and adoption of new accounting standards preferredAttention to detail with a high level of accuracy and consistency in preparing workExcellent analytical and quantitative skillsAble to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environmentExcellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skillsBase Range: $160,000 - $205,000 + Bonus Eligible
