About the Role

HomeSafe Alliance is seeking highly skilled and motivated Director of Operational Excellence to support operations in the movement of household goods.

Responsibilities:

Deliver consistently exceptional and efficient operations through the evaluation, measurement, and continuous improvement of policies, practices, processes, systems, and USTRANSCOM service member customer experience.

Support Operational Excellence team in the journey of Lean initiatives through the enhancement of the company's long range strategic plan to drive quality performance.

Drive Execution of the Lean and continuous improvement methodology as applicable through local management to deliver successful productivity, cost reduction and/or quality improvement initiatives.

Champion formal training and on-going growth and development across all operations personnel.

Work on Process Improvement Flow-maps required for Operational Excellence.

Develops and implements a management system designed around Key Performance Indicators that measure and improve delivery performance, asset utilization, customer quality, inbound delivery, and other measures.

Delivers expertise to facilitate the development of initial assessments, initiative design documents and monitoring of program and activities.

Collaborate with multiple department and function leads on various projects and initiatives.

Continuously remove waste, friction, and frustration from operational processes.

Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and 15+ years of experience, 5 of which should be in logistics management or industry.

Bachelor's degree in business, logistics/supply chain, related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Prior household good experience required.

Must be a U.S. citizen due to contractual requirements.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word experience.

Preferred skills, knowledge and abilities:

Power BI experience preferred.

Experience building and developing cross functional teams to solve problems and deliver excellent results.

Note : This position is fully remote / work from home. HomeSafe will supply appropriate equipment, employee provided high speed internet is required.
