JOB REQUIREMENTS: University of Wisconsin-Platteville is seeking aDirector of Intercollegiate Athletics to oversee a 16-sport departmentthat competes in the best National Collegiate Athletic Association(NCAA) Division III conference in the country, and thehighly-competitive Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC).The Director of Intercollegiate Athletics is responsible to theChancellor for developing and supervising a representative athleticprogram guided by the University mission and vision statement. Resourcedevelopment is critical to the success of the mission of the university,and the athletic director will work in close collaboration with relevantuniversity offices. Compensation for this position is \$110,000 -130,000, commensurate with experience. This is a full time, benefit andpaid leave eligible position. Leadership Direct and supervise theadministration of the men\'s and women\'s athletic programs and provideoversight of all administrative, compliance, operational and businessfunctions in accordance with the National Collegiate AthleticAssociation (NCAA), Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference(WIAC), and University institutional policies and procedures. Encourageand create an atmosphere of sportsmanship, professionalism, and respectamong staff, coaches and student athletes while maintaining acompetitive program. Promote a competitive athletic atmosphereconsistent with NCAA Division III philosophy. Serve on Chancellor\'sleadership team, attend meetings and serve at the pleasure of theChancellor. Advancement Plan and oversee all fundraising and developmentactivities for athletics, including charitable gifts from alumni,friends, corporations, and foundations, in coordination with the UWPFoundation. Organize, direct, and participate in activities that willpromote a positive public image for the University on campus, as well aslocally, regionally and nationally. Work with the UniversityCommunications to market and promote the athletic program.
