As we continue to grow and expand our impact, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Development to lead our fundraising efforts and strengthen our connections with the community and corporate partners.

  The Director of Development will play a pivotal role in advancing the mission and vision of our organization. This position will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy, with a strong emphasis on community and corporate grants and foundations. The successful candidate will foster inclusivity and diversity in our fundraising efforts.

  Job Responsibilities

  Fundraising Strategy

  Develop and execute a strategic fundraising plan that aligns with the organization's mission, goals, and values.

  Identify and prioritize funding opportunities, with a particular focus on community and corporate grants and foundations.

  Lead efforts to diversify revenue streams and secure funding from new sources.

  Manage and create special events, appeals, campaigns, and other strategies to achieve our fundraising goals.

  Grant and Foundation Relations

  Research, identify, and cultivate relationships with community and corporate foundations.

  Prepare high-quality grant proposals, reports, and presentations that align with the priorities and values of potential funders.

  Manage grant application timelines, submissions, and reporting requirements.

  Develop partnerships with program leaders to assess needs and identify funding opportunities.

  Community Engagement

  Engage with the local community to build strong relationships and partnerships.

  Organize and participate in community events and outreach activities to raise awareness of our organization's work.

  Collaborate with community stakeholders to identify shared goals and opportunities for collaboration.

  Corporate Partnerships

  Identify and develop relationships with corporate partners that align with our mission and values.

  Create and manage corporate partnership opportunities, including sponsorships, employee engagement initiatives, and cause-related marketing campaigns.

  Requirements

  Bachelor's degree in a related field (Masters preferred).

  A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a proven track record of success in securing community and corporate grants and foundation funding.

  Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with the ability to integrate these principles into all aspects of fundraising.

  Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for storytelling and grant proposal writing.

  Experience with donor management software and fundraising tools.

  Strong leadership and team management skills.

  A collaborative, innovative, and results-oriented mindset.
